The survey tool can be used to conduct and report on standardized/compliance surveys, as well as leverage custom marketing and data collection opportunities. After surveys are conducted, cluster maps, and survey breakdown tools are available. 

  • Ability for network manager to create surveys by choosing from pre-formatted templates, or creating their own free-form template with drag-and-drop custom field creation/editing.
  • Ability to manage name, base location, number of expected responses, notes about survey, short-URL, and status of survey
  • When a survey is open, administrator is able to send out surveys to as many participants as desired and take surveys
  • During and after a survey’s completion, administrator is able to view responses by users as well as chart their responses on a cluster map if the built in location input is used.
  • Administrator is able to sort and select desired respondents, and send an email to them through the system or via their own email client (perfect for targeted marketing).

Getting Started

  1. From the top menu, click Manage.
  2. Under the Tools section, click on Surveys
  3. From here, you are presented with any surveys that have already been created. It is further broken down by New, Open, and Closed surveys.
  4. To create a new survey, start with a template by clicking the Survey Templates down down on the right-hand side.
  5. Choose one of the templates as a starting point.
  6. Complete the form as shown on your screen. Most fields are self-explanatory.
  7. Click on Edit Questions to build the survey.
  8. Click on Preview Survey to see the results.
  9. Click on the Create Survey button to the right to save the survey.
  10. After saving the survey, the page refreshes and you are given new options on the right to start or delete the survey. 
  11. The URL to the survey can be customized if wished. Everything after 'https://gohiocommute.com/s/ ' is editable. Click on the filed to edit. This URL is what you will distribute to the group being surveyed.
  12. After you click Start the Survey, you will not be able to make any changes while collecting responses. Click the Edit Survey button on the right to pause the survey.

Viewing Results

  1. From the top menu, click Manage.
  2. Under the Tools section, click on Surveys.
  3. From the list of surveys, click on the corresponding button to the right titled 'View Responses'.
  4. To the left at the top, view the list by table or by map.
  5. Visible columns can be configured by clicking on the 'Visible Columns' button at the top.
  6. Export the report to CSV by clicking on the 'Generate Report' button.
